How it works

Our community has taken a bold step forward in protecting what matters most. By installing smart security cameras throughout the neighbourhood, we've created a powerful, intelligent surveillance network that works 24/7. These cameras detect suspicious pedestrian movement during quiet hours (especially late at night), automatically read vehicle registration plates using onboard AI, and instantly alert our partnered security companies when something is out of place. 

The result? 

A system that works without the need and associated expense of a manned control room. A dramatic reduction in manpower and resources previously wasted on random patrols, allowing security teams to respond faster and more effectively.

Challenges and Opportunities

However, our success has created a new challenge. Because things feel so much safer now, some residents have become complacent. The truth is, our current donor base is still small, and we need to grow it. Expanding the network will allow us to move beyond just entrances and high-traffic spots to full coverage. 

More donors mean lower costs per household, a stronger and more sustainable system, and protection against future risks. 

Proven Results

Thanks to the dedication of our current group of donors, crime in the area has virtually stopped. Word has spread among would-be criminals, and our neighbourhood is now widely known as a high-risk zone for them. We've achieved what physical patrols alone could never do: proactive prevention. Our cameras stop threats before they reach people's homes, create a "virtual closure" that makes expensive fencing and boom systems unnecessary, and have made the entire area noticeably safer. This increased safety has already begun boosting property values and giving families peace of mind.

Cameras in Action

Suspect behaviour spotted and terminated by the mere presence of a camera. We do not have a control room with manned monitors, nor do we need one. It is therefore important to give our analyst a specific time to pinpoint suspect vehicles or pedestrians. Our volunteers  simply don't have the capacity to comb through 24 hours of camera footage. 

Once we do identify a vehicle of person we can alert the police with relevant information to be on the look out. Vehicle registrations are also added to our database to clamp down on any possible mischief in subsequent visits to the area.
